Reflecting on the 21st NATO CA²X² Forum 2026 in Rome

From 29 September to 1 October 2026, we had the pleasure of representing Cordillera at the 21st NATO Computer Assisted Analysis, Exercise and Experimentation (CA²X²) Forum in Rome, Italy.

This year’s theme, “Generating Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) Readiness through a NATO Simulation Ecosystem,” highlighted the increasingly important role of modelling and simulation in strengthening NATO’s operational readiness and supporting effective decision-making across multiple domains. The forum brought together defence professionals, military representatives and industry experts to explore emerging technologies, share experiences and discuss innovative approaches to training, experimentation and interoperability.

A key takeaway was the importance of collaboration and innovation in developing integrated simulation environments capable of supporting increasingly complex operational challenges across land, air, maritime, space and cyber domains. Beyond the technical discussions, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas, gain valuable insights and connect with professionals who share a commitment to advancing defence modelling and simulation capabilities.
We were delighted to be part of these important conversations and look forward to building on the knowledge and connections gained in Rome.

Thank you to the organisers, speakers and participants for an insightful and engaging event!
